Carl J. Jones

CARL J. JONES was born on January 8, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Carl J. Jones Sr. and the late Elizabeth Jones. He passed on July 20, 2024, at the Gilchrist Hospice Center.

Carl was affectionately known as "Bunky" by family and friends. The love of his life, Tootie, simply called him Jones. He was educated by the Baltimore City Public School System. Carl was employed by Amazon.

Carl loved to make people laugh and put a smile on their face. He was very outgoing. Carl enjoyed picnics, going to the zoo, watching Westerns, Marvel movies, and his tennis shoe collection. Carl was very involved in the community, serving as an activist for the homeless and an ambassador for drug addiction. Carl would give you the clothes off his back. He would say "God looked out for fools and babies; and I'm not a baby." He knew God loved him.

Carl gave true meaning to loving "Daddy's Girls". With Andrea "Boo-Boo", he loved talking to her, eating their favorite meals, listening to music and watching movies together. He played a great role in raising his stepdaughter Toya "Angel". As a child, they would feed the homeless together. He spoiled his girls and as a child, Toya was glued to his hip. Carl set the standard to Toya of how a man should treat a woman.

In 1999, Carl married Irma Hampton, his partner for life of 25 years. The two spent a lot of time together eating, shopping and taking walks on the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Carl loved grocery shopping and would always bring something special home to eat. He was so patient with his wife, waiting on her for hours while she shopped. When she would get dressed, Carl would just come downstairs and wait quietly.

Proceeding him in death, his brothers: William, Wayne and Gregory; a sister, Audrey. Carl leaves behind with fond memories; his beloved wife, Irma; a son, Carl Jr.; a daughter, Andrea; a stepdaughter, Toya, whom he raised as his own; 2 grandchildren, Nevaeh and Amare'; brothers, Ottis and Kevin; sister Frances; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
