BURLINE DANTZLER, daughter of the late Grady Dantzler, was born on July 20, 1946 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Following the death of her grandmother, Burline and her mother moved to Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly after arriving in Baltimore, Burline and her mother would go hand-in-hand to visit Southern Baptist Church.
Eventually, they became a part of the Southern Baptist Church. She attended the Baltimore City Public Schools. After completing her education, she worked at the Baltimore City Community College for over forty years as an Academic Advisor. In 1997, Burline and her mother attended Mt. Pleasant Church and Ministries. On October 3, 2021, Burline became a member of Huber Memorial Church, under the leadership of Pastor P.M. Smith.
After completing her New Members Class at Huber, she became a dedicated student in each of her Bible Study Classes. She was very knowledgeable in the “Word of God”! She was a strong participant in the Reel to Real Summer Bible Series by answering questions and reading the Scriptures during class. She loved reading the Bible. She was a gentle and quiet person, and was not ashamed of the “Gospel of Jesus Christ.” Burline always shared her faith with others so they too would come to know Jesus. She served faithfully as a servant volunteer and teacher in the After School Good News Club (GNC) of Huber at Gardenville Elementary School. The children loved her and enjoyed the way she taught them the Word of God and shared the Good News of The Gospel.
Burline leaves to cherish her memory: Her cousin, Ms. Elizabeth Watson; goddaughter, Ms. Latonya Wright; godson, Mr. Albert Prater, Jr.; a good friend, Ms. Marilyn Adamson; her Huber Memorial Church Family; the teachers, students, parents, and volunteers of the After School Good News Club at Gardenville Elementary School; and other family members and friends.
