BRANDON LAMONT BROWN, popularly known as"Flip", was born on September 16, 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland to Chanta Brown. Delivered at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Brandon entered into this world willingly, giving his mom no complications. He was the eldest of three siblings (Antonio and India).

For elementary and middle school, Brandon attended The Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools. For High School, he was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System.

Brandon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was baptized on July 6, 1997 at the Israel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. H. Walden Wilson, II. Brandon had a praying mother who took him to church. As a youth member, he was on the usher board and the rose buds. Brandon was blessed to know God, and we are blessed to know he is safe with The Lord in Heaven.

Even as a child, it was clear that Brandon had a love for basketball. Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were his idols. Brandon's competitive nature earned him the nickname "Flip" as he was known to "flip out" on the court.

Brandon started playing basketball in middle school. Brandon's love for the sport afforded him many opportunities to travel throughout the country, representing Baltimore City. He played as a point guard for AAU Championship teams, SOI, and Lake Clifton Eastern High School. Flip received numerous trophies, plagues, citations, medal's and awards for his basketball skills. Flip's skill level allowed him to play against competition much older than him, but he was prepared for the challenge.

Preceding him in death is his great-aunt Lin. Brandon talked about how much she, the real Madea, kept the family together, "through thick and thin".

Brandon always greeted you with the biggest bear hugs (sometimes not knowing his strength, because he would squeeze you so tightly). From planned gatherings, parties, vacations, to mommy and me time, to lunch and dinner dates, he loved moments spent with his family.

Brandon was a #GirlDad, until March 2020, when he finally got his son.

He loved his children; they were his pride and joy.

Flip had a strong entrepreneurial spirit. He always had a plan for a business proposal. Rather it be a car wash, a strip club, selling and flipping cars, a gambling match, a vegan joint, a natural juice bar, selling insurance to incarcerated inmates; anything he could make sense of. He worked on his own schedule, his own timing, and it was "Flip's World", where he gave out unsolicited advice. Flip made friends no matter where he was. He always knew a homeboy or a home girl who could fix something, sell something, or help you out.

Brandon leaves to cherish his memory; his five children, Laila Brown, Tyjohnia Williams, Dilynn Brown, Demi Brown and Brayden brown; a loving mother and stepfather, Chanta and Kenneth; a grandmother, Kim; a great-aunt, Stephanie; an aunt, Danielle, an uncle , Calvin; brother, Antonio II; sister, India; nephew, Antonio III, niece, Karley; special cousin, Darly; special friend, Denee; and a host of relatives, friends and loved ones.
