A Time To Be Born Beulah Scott was born to John & Suddie Britton on September 6, 1936, in Sumter, South Carolina. A Time To Plant At the age of four, Beulah moved to Baltimore, Maryland. She attended and graduated from Baltimore City Public Schools. Beulah studied Cosmetology during her high school years.
Beulah met and married the love of her life, John D. Scott in 1953, who predeceased her in 1973. Out of this union, they were blessed with four children (Janice, Michael, Rodney (deceased), and Pamela).
Beulah gave her life to Christ at a very young age. She was a member of New David Baptist Church of Christ for over 30 years. Beulah loved her church and church family, but most importantly she was a dedicated soldier for the Lord.
Beulah was employed at Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Supervisor, where she retired after serving 31 years of service. She enjoyed going to church, cooking (which she was an awesome cook), attending family/friends gatherings and loved shopping. Beulah was loved by all, especially for her great sense of humor. She was a giving and very caring person. Beulah was very genuine and had a heart of gold. She remembered all birthdays and anniversaries of many, making sure that each person received a card and gift for their special occasion. A Time To Gain Her Wings On the sunset of March 2, 2022, Beulah gained her wings. She left to mourn her children, Janice Green (Arthur, deceased), Michael Scott (Karen), Pamela Walker (Rev. Maurice), and step-daughter Monica Turner; her grandchildren, Michael Jr. (Beth), Michael James (Jeremy), Deshaun (Najla), John (Tenia), William, Devin, Brittany, aka Shemiah, and Ramone. She left one sibling, Wilhelmina Barlow, who she talked to daily. Beulah left a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many other family members and friends. There were special people that helped with the caregiving of Beulah which included her daughters, Janice, Pamela, granddaughter, Brittany and Son-in-law, Rev. Maurice Walker. Beulah looked forward to talking to all her great-grandchildren, especially her great-grandson Jordan, as well as close friends that she would often call sisters (Fannie Briggs and Mary Wallace), who always knew how to place a smile on her face.
