Bettie D. Toogood

BETTIE DEMETRA TOOGOOD, daughter of the late James Luther Sr., and the late Eunice James, was born on February 9, 1947, departed this life on November 10, 2021. Bettie was the fourth out of five children.

Bettie received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System; her career began at Misty Harbor Coat Factory, where she worked. Bettie met Richard (Dickie) Toogood, her late husband and they were married on June 26, 1970. She then became a mother and stayed home to take care of her family.

Our mother. grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend ,enjoyed playin cards, partying, talking trash and being surrounded by her family. She had a big personality! To know her was to Love Her! She would give you anything that she had. My mother "liked to Cook", especially Chicken with the Big Onion in the Pot. Those who knew her could relate to that. She certainly will be missed.

Bettie leaves to cherish her memories; two children; Necole Toogood (Cox) Antione L. Toogood (Trisha Lee, Special Friend); One son-in-law, Sean A. Cox; one sister; Yvonne James, two brothers; Luther James Jr. (Delores) & Leslie James; four grandchildren; Tavon & Ravon Jones, Breonna T. Cook, Montre'L. Sydnor, Jr.; four step grand kids; ten great grandkids, Chy'Asia, Ry' on, Trenton Jr., Landon, Kashmere, Jakobi, Ta'liyah, Ka'Myiah, Nova & Ravon, Jr.; six step great grandkids; one goddaughter, Corliss Scott; one adopted granddaughter, Shaquetta Daniels; and a host of cousins & friends.
