Audrey D. Lyons

AUDREY DONALDSON LYONS, was born July 2, 1955 to the late Reverend James Donaldson Sr. and Virgie A. Donaldson, in Baltimore, Maryland.

She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System and was a graduate of the class of 1974 at Lake Clifton High School. Audrey attended Baltimore Community College and Philadelphia Bible College. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the New Friendship Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Reverend Matthew Marcus, Sr. As a member of Ark Church, she was a deaconess and an active member in the music ministry.

Audrey met the love of her life Samuel Lyons and they married on May 26, 1978. From this union eight children were born, two preceded her in death, Durell and Danita.

She was employed by the Baltimore City Public School System as a Special Education Teacher's Assistant. Audrey loved sewing, music, singing, going to flea markets, dining out and riding along country roads.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband Samuel; her children, Shannon, Kevin, LaTia, Dawaan, Dawnisha and Kenneth Lyons; one mother-in-law, Ms. Hattie M. Lyons; two sisters, Irma Donaldson and Patricia Hines; one brother, Arthur Donaldson; five sister-in-laws, Ms. Betty J. Donaldson, Denise Rogers, Ms. Tammy Lyons, Ms. Phyllis Lyons, Ms. Jean Lyons; three brother-in-laws, Tim, Melvin and Clay and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, a great-great nephew and a host of friends.
