Arhtur L. Allen Sr., son of the late Leroy Allen and Virginia Lomax, stepmother Lena Allen, was born on August 10, 1933 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He departed this life on February 27, 2020 after a lengthy illness.

He received his education in Wadesboro, North Carolina. He was a veteran of the Korean War. His rst job was delivering ice, then worked at The Friendship Airport and Papillion Restaurant. He owned his own cab 991 and retired from Baltimore City Police Headquarters as a maintenance engineer. He also drove a tractor trailer.

He married Mary E. Lee, and out of the union was 8 children.

Arthur had numerous friends, most of who preceded him in death. He so loved to hunt, sh, and garden. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He leaves to mourn: his wife of 64+ years, Mary E. Allen. Three daughters, Lisa Morris, Robin Allen, and April Allen. Four daughter in-laws , Robin, Brenda, Angel and Adriane. Five sons, Arthur Jr., Michael, Fred who preceded him in death, Terrence Sr., and Cedric Sr. One son-in-law, Thomas Morris. One sister, Louise Heggie and One brother Fred Allen who both preceded him in death. A brother in- law, James Heggie who preceded him in death. A sister in-law, Arlenda Allen. Nineteen grandchildren, one who preceded him in death, 35 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
