Arnell Abram Jr., age 65, gained his wings on April 22, 2022, at Johns Hopkins Hospital from complications of Cancer. Arnell (known better as “Jr”) was born on March 11, 1957, in Baltimore, MD, to Edna and Arnell Abram Sr. He was the eldest brother of his siblings.
He was strong, fought a good fight, and never complained about his illness to protect his family from sorrow.
Jr. had a passion for food service and developed the skills to become an assistant to different Chefs as a line cook. He worked at Gampy’s in this role for over 20 years where he learned to create his own signature dishes. He then moved on to work at Terra Café for 7 years. Jr. retired from culinary services in 2019.
He loved spending time with his family, listening to his favorite 70’s music, singing, watching football, and wrestling.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Stevenson; his oldest daughter, Marlene Abram; father, Arnell Abram Sr., sister, Darlene Abram, and youngest sister, Lena Abram Dickerson.
He is survived by his mother, Edna Abram; oldest daughter, Amber Abram; his grandchildren, Kaydence Abram, Sekia Jones, Aliyah Jones, and Devonte Dukes; his siblings, Earlene Finch (better known to him as “Mom-o”), Ezakie Abram Sr., Eddie Abram, Chris Abram and Margaret Owens-Nelson; brother in-law, Charles Finch; his nieces, Anita Stokes, Benita Finch and Gabrielle Forest; his nephew, Ezakie Abram Jr.
