Arneise R. Benson

ARNEISE RENEE BENSON (Niecy) was born July 11, 1959 to the late Roosevelt Sr. and Betty Chisolm. She received her education through Baltimore City Private Schools. She later attended Ron Thompson Cosmetology School, where she graduated with her cosmetology licenses in 1985. Niecy attended the New Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Roosevelt Davenport Sr. serving on the Usher Board and Flower Circle. October 10, 1987 Niecy married the late Howard Maurice Benson.

Niecy worked as a beautician at Annette's Beauty Salon. She traveled and participated in hair show with her aunt Arlene and uncle Alfonso. She also developed years of sales and management skills by working at Montgomery Ward and Ames Department Store. Her hobbies included designing floral arrangements and baking delicious cakes. many enjoyed coming from such a sweet woman.

Niecy enjoyed social events and games with family and friends. She was a beloved wife and mother to her daughters Mikia and Anethia. She will be missed by all her grandchildren; Rashad, Raysheed, Reyshawn, Omar, Qimier and Sanai. She leaves to mourn her sibling, Velda, Roosevelt Jr., Bonita and Rhonda, two brothers-in-law, Vance Jones Sr. and Lloyd Ward; four sisters-in-law, Clarrissa Chisolm, Connie Gant, Rose Ward and Laverne Ward and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends January 17, 2021 Niecy moved to her eternal resting place. She will forever be the family matriarch.
