Listen to Obituary

Antoinette L. Dukes was born on Feb 24, 1967 at University Hospital to Henrietta Dukes and the late William M. Dukes in Baltimore Maryland. She spent her early childhood days in West Baltimore, where she was known as “Girl Toni '' who was the life of any party. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated with a high school diploma from Lake Clifton Eastern High School. Along with her family she moved to East Baltimore at the age of 14. East Baltimore is where she spent the rest of her adulthood, started her own family and unfortunately made her untimely departure.

Toni was employed at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School Of Public Health for many years until she retired. There she formed several close relationships with her fellow co-workers. Her two closest friends; more like sisters were Angela and Deneen.

Toni enjoyed music, television shows and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite hobby was ordering online, everyday a new package was at the door. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She was especially excited about meeting her newest grandson Mark III.

Toni was kind hearted, loving and hilarious. If she liked you she loved you forever. But if she didn’t like you. Well we all know lol. Toni did not play about her snacks; she would hide them and you better not find them. Although Toni had a few setbacks she was a fighter .. A SURVIVOR ! Her biggest obstacle was cancer. It took her voice but it didn’t take her light. She won that battle and beat it with grace. No matter what, all the pain in the world was not keeping her from getting back to her grandchildren.

Antoinette was preceded in death by her younger sister, Kesha Hayes; nephew, Dewayne Booker and older brother James Jennings.

Antoinette leaves to mourn her mother Henrietta Dukes; children, Danielle Hall, Anthony Stepney Jr and Tashera Smith; grandchildren, Kayden, Blake, Zoe and Mark III; sister Vicki Green and her twin brothers Keith and Kenneth Dukes; nieces, Juanita, Kiayana and Renee; aunts, Geraldine Boyd and Frances Hargrove. Along with a host of other relatives and friends.
