ANTHONY RICO MOORE JR., affectionately called "Ant-Mo" by family and friends the son of Virginia Ann Moore and the late Anthony Rico Moore Sr., began his journey on May 26, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland. On Monday May 12, 2025, God saw fit to call him home to be with the Lord.
Anthony received his education through the Baltimore City Public School System and worked various types of jobs throughout lifetime as an entrepreneur.
Anthony, a man of strength and resilience, celebrated 23 years of sobriety, maintaining a steadfast commitment to his recovery by regularly attending meetings at "Dee's Place", and his home place "Do The Right Thing Now". He had a passion for playing pool, a game that brought him joy and camaraderie, and he played one last cherished game on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Garden Bar.
Anthony is known for his impeccable style. He was always sharp dressed, proudly sporting his signature pants suit with a hat. You could always catch Anthony selling suits at the Flea Market on Saturdays and Sundays. He enjoyed hanging at The Garden Bar, The Apollo and The Post (VFW).
Anthony loved himself some food....he would often call around to tell people what to cook for him or make him a plate. He found great happiness in spending time at the beach and creating lasting memories with his beloved grandchildren.
He was known for his smart mouth. He would call you to get smart and hang up on you. You had to know Anthony to love Anthony with that smart mouth of his. Anthony will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. We rejoice in knowing you will rest in peace, no more pain!
He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Rico Moore Sr., brother Samuel A. Moore, Sponsor Big JIm, and a special friend Tracey Johnson.
Anthony leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory with his mother, Virginia Moore; five devoted children, Krystal Franklin (Davon), Jerod Moore, Shawda Pringle, (Brandon, Bernice Harris, Shawna Miller (Darrick); eight grandkids, Ke'Shawna, Kayla, Erin, Da'Yonna, Kendall, Braylen, Jayden and Jaxon; one brother, Corey Moore (Jacqueline) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
