ANNIE RUTH CARROLL, was born on April 19, 1938 In Phenix City, Alabama to Richard and Queen Edmond. Annie was educated in Phenix City Public Schools and moved to Baltimore in 1953, her senior year. Upon her arrival, Annie began working in Sinai Hospital where she retired as a Supervisor after 32 years of service.
Annie, who was affectionately called Ruby, met the love of her life, Robert Carroll and the two married on July 14, 1962. Four children came from their union. Annie was a kind hearted person who was known for her good looks and good cooking. Everyone came to her house. She would give you the shirt off her back then feed you. She made the best fried chicken and home grown Collard greens. Annie loved her garden, her garden was always filled with collards, kale, cucumbers, beans and tomatoes each year. Annie was also known as a person who was not afraid to speak her mind and she did so with love. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries for 45 years where she was on the choir.
Annie left this world for glory on August 16, 2016.
Preceding her in death are her loving husband, Robert(Bob) Carroll; and one son, Anthony(Tony) Edmond. She leaves to share a rich legacy, daughters Karan Carroll(Arthur) and Kimberly Eubanks(Keith) and son Maurice Carroll(Monica); two sisters, Ella Louise Fraizer and Marian Inez Dixon; four sisters-in-law, Kathy, Marva. Katie and Peggy; three brothers-in-law, James(Leroy), Charles and Hudie; five grandchildren; Aaron(Keisha), Maurice Jr., Marcellus, Mattheus and McKenna; beloved nieces and nephews, James, Eddie, Michael, Louise, Monica, Betty, Barbara, Bernice, Irene, William, Marian, Deborah, Raymond, Curtis, Johnathan and Tonya; her best friend of 50 years, Ola McNeil; god daughter, Volante McNeil; and god son, Justin Shaw; sweet caretakers , Geneva, Danyell, Sharon and Germaine; a host of cousins, neighbors, church family and friends.
