AMOS S. TAYLOR JR., affectionately known as Stan, quietly completed his earthly journey May 9, 2021. Stan was the son of Amos Sr. and Mary L. Taylor who both proceeded him in death. Stan was born January 12, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. Educated within the Baltimore City School System, Stan graduated from Dunbar Senior High School in 1977. Throughout his life, Stan worked a variety of jobs throughout the city. He worked for a time at Union Memorial Hospital, Restoration Hardware Furniture and his final place of employment was at the Mt. Vernon Country Club. A lover of cars his entire life. Stan delighted in working as a valet driving the luxury vehicles of the club's patrons.

Stan never met a stranger and his true ministry was fellowshipping with his many, many friends throughout his beloved East Baltimore. Stan was also a skilled mechanic, and was known for being an expert at applying brakes to any type of vehicle. Stan also loved sports and could talk hours about his favorite teams in the NBA and the NFL.

Stan called it as he saw it and lived life on his own terms.

Fiercely devoted to his family, Stan leaves behind a host of family and friends to mourn his passing including sisters Barbara J. Taylor and Cariel Taylor-Edwards. His younger brother, Freddy Taylor, Jr. and sister-in-law, Amy Taylor. His aunts Jestine Williams and Martha Ann Yeadon, cousins, Lonnie Mayzck and Mary Mayzck and a host of cousins here and in South Carolina, Stan also leaves behind his nephews, Derek T. Booth and Freddy Taylor,Jr. a brother-in-law, Dwight Tyrone Booth; nieces, Danielle Booth and Karen Dixon, and his best friend and niece Diandra "Tina" Taylor, in 2017, he lost his long-time love and partner, Angela Dixon and in 2019 he lost his sister Theresa Booth.
