Alvin F. Ricks

Alvin F. Ricks, son of the late Ernest Ricks Sr. and Effie Lawson, was born on June 12, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on June 21, 2017 of natural causes.
Alvin received his education throughout Baltimore City Public Schools. Later he joined the National Guards and received various medals and honors. He was honorably discharged. He held various jobs in Baltimore City until he became ill. He loved to listen to music, cook, watch his westerns and adored playing with his grandchildren.
Alvin’s fiancé, Elaine Nance, preceded him in death, (March 2017).
He leaves to mourn: two brothers, Ernest Ricks Jr. and Norris Ricks; one biological daughter, Melodie Ricks; one stepdaughter, one stepson, four biological grandchildren, Tinsy, Kiara, Keyon and Kevron; one great grandson, D’Mauri; one son-in-law, Chop; and a host of other relatives and friends, also his lifetime friend and ex-wife, Rebecca McGaugan.
