Alma M. Allen

On Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 4:25am, God called his faithful servant, ALMA MATTHEWS ALLEN home to her final rest. Her pain of death has passed, her labor and sorrow have ceased and life's worries have ended. Alma's soul may now rest in peace.

Alma was born March 5, 1937 to the late Mary Anna and Sidney Blackwell. Alma was baptized in Baltimore, Maryland. She later graduated from Institute if The Notre Dame. Alma was employed at Bugle Laundry., Lord Baltimore Hotel, and later Manor Care Nursing Home.

On April 8, 1953, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late George Edward Allen. Out of this union twelve children were born, four preceded her in death.

Alma is not alone; she will be welcomed in Heaven by loving family members. Among those family members will be her parents- Mary Anna and Sidney Blackwell, grandmother-Sadie Carter: daughters, Saundra and Kim; son, Paul; sister-in-law, Lillie Evans; devoted aunt Ruth Armstead; great-grandsons, Keyon Henry and Darius Mason.

Alma leaves to mourn: children, Rose Mason, Alicia Holden, Wanda Preston, Tanya Allen, Shawn Young and Jeffrey Batson; thirty six, grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; four devoted godchildren; devoted sister-in-law, Beatrice Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
