Alfred E Brown

Alfred Ernest Brown was born September 24, 1927 in

Baltimore, Maryland to the late Hattie Brown and Charles

Brown, but was raised by Leonard Cornish. He departed

this life on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 89 years old at home

with family at his side.

Growing up, Alfred served as an altar boy at St. Francis

Xavier Catholic Church. He was educated in Baltimore

City Public Schools and graduated from Paul Laurence

Dunbar High School. He later went on to serve inside the

U.S Army and in the Army he was a medic

transporter.

Alfred was an excellent provider to his wife, kids, family,

friends and community. He was an avid reader and

always kept up with current events. He enjoyed long

walks.

Alfred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phoebe

Elizabeth Brown; son, Curtis Brown and grandson Curtis

Fleming, Jr.

He leaves to mourn nine children, Alfred, Alfreda, Steven,

Nathan, Hattie, Ernestine, Nadine, Leonard and Phyllis

Brown; fourteen grandchildren; five great

grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
