ALBERT "BUTTONS" EUGENE CLARK, JR., was born on November 11, 1980 to the late Francine Harrington and the late Albert Eugene Clark Sr. Buttons transitioned to his heavenly home on October 2, 2021.
Raised by his loving grandmother, the matriarch in his life, Annie Cosby to whom he called "Na-Na. He adored, admired and loved her dearly.
Buttons received his education through the Baltimore City School System, graduating in 1999. He accepted Christ in his life at anearly age and became a member of Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Marshall Prentice.
Buttons had a passion for cooking, which led him to pursue his career in Culinary Arts at Stratford University. He loved cooking. He aspired to be a chef, but grilling was his thing; so much so that no matter where there was a grill, he would end up on it.
Buttons was a loving father to his children, a caretaker to his brother Durelle and his late father. Buttons was a true definition of a family man and a people person. he would always boast about the accomplishments of his children and also made time to mentor, encourage and guide the youth in the Oliver Community.
Buttons was unique and special in his own way, from his distinctive uni-brow to his chin length beard. He was a great debater, going word for word, determined to get the last word in because he knew he was right. Those who knew him were blessed to cross his path. Whenever he was in your presence, you'd feel I loved and protected. He was always supportive with an uplifting spirit. Buttons was truly one of a kind. he will truly be missed and remembered by many.
Buttons was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Clark, Sr. and Francine Harrington and both of his grandmothers, Aretha Harrington and Annie Cosby.
He leaves to cherish his beloved memories: three children, Aniya Clark, Albert Clark, III and Kristian Clark: a devoted friend of twenty-seven years, Leshia Harrison; four brothers, Durelle Harrington, William Clark, Lamont Clark and Shelton Clark; one nephew, Terrell Harrington; one aunt, kita Smith; one uncle, Clyde Harrington; one great aunt, Olivia Russell; two godchildren, Domineik Larkins and Devin Robinson, Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
