ALVIN H. JOHNSON, son of the late William Johnson and Maggie Lee Johnson, was born August 5, 1944 and departed this life on June 16, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

Alvin received his education in Baltimore City Public Schools. He went on to pursue his life long dream of working for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority bus company where he later retired.

In 1967, Alvin met and married his wife of forty-nine years, Ms. Lillian Johnson. Alvin leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Lillian Ann Johnson; his children, Alvena M. Blue, Rita T. Romano and step-daughter, Tynesia Dorsey; sons-in-law, Anthony Romano and Richard Blue Jr.; four-grandchildren, Parris Watson, Lonni Watson, Anthony Romano, and Alvin Romano, step-granddaughter Antoinette Perry; one sister Drazella Faulkner; five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, two step-great granddaughters and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and friends.

Alvin lived his life as a devoted Christian, his church home was Bethel A.M.E. He received his ministries certificate on November 15, 2003 in affiliation with The Prayer Tabernacle Covenant Ministries, Inc. Alvin led many to Christianity through his walk of Faith. He had a love for music and performance which he cherished dearly with the group, "The Shalimars" Voices in Sync and many others. His favorite instrument was the guitar. Many will remember his sharp attire, and as he would say, "Everything has to be coordinated from head to toe".

Alvin slipped away peacefully at home with his loving daughters, Alvena and Rita by his side; his grandsons, Alvin, Anthony and Lonni; his sons-in-law, Richard and Tony; and his best dog companion, "Shaka-Zulu". He will be missed by so many of his family and friends.
