ZELDA DIGGS, daughter of the late George and Esther Diggs, was born on February 22, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland ("Cookie" as she was affectionately known by family and friends). After a lengthy illness, Cookie departed this life on Tuesday December 24, 2019. Through it all, Cookie fought a good fight.
Cookie received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She was raised in a Christian Home with her family.
Cookie received Christ as her personal Savior in December of 2017 under Apostle Cornelius Showell, Senior Pastor at First Apostolic Faith Church.
A very devoted young woman to her family, Cookie was a kind-hearted person, she would help and lend her hand to anyone she could. You could always depend on Cookie being there. She never missed any events and was willing to assist if needed.
Cookie worked in Home Improvement as she was so professional in her work. Cookie was passionate at her jobs. She was an excellent painter; she would make a room come to life through the hard work of her hands. Cookie was just that good.
She loved having everything in order; and, oh yes, being very neat. If you knew Cookie, you knew her home was a perfect picture of neatness. Cookie was a very clean and sharp-dressing young person.
What a loyal person our Cookie was, if you knew Cookie you loved her.
Cookie leaves to cherish her fond memory; her brother, Joseph Hall (Marcie), two sisters, Valjean Freierson, Joselyn Witherspoon (Steve); two uncles, James Rodgers (Francine), Richard Rodgers (Darlene); a very special and devoted friend, Faye Blue; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
