Willie "Bunny" Powell

Willie O Powell Jr. (or Bunny as he was affectionately known as), Son of the late Willie and Essie Powell was born August 8, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. Bunny attended Baltimore City Public schools and later attend Job Corps where he learned and mastered the trade of photography. Taking pictures of family and friends became one of Bunny’s greatest hobbies. He worked for Baltimore City Department of Sanitation and retired after 30 years of service. Bunny met the love of his life, Joanna Williams in 1983, They later married in 2004.

Bunny was a devoted man to his children, grandchildren, and family and friends. He taught all of his children, nieces and nephews to drive.  He loved to tell jokes. Bunny made many friends and whenever he took off his shades and hat, you already knew to run and get out of his way! He loved his oldies but goodies music, westerns, horror movies, and partying with his family and friends

Bunny’ had a sense of humor that was out of this world! He enjoyed telling old stories and telling jokes.  He will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joanna, three older sisters; Adlean, Crystal, and Cynthia, and one brother in law Jonathan.  

Bunny leaves to cherish his memory: 3 Daughters, Lisa, Tara, and Lakisha. One Son Marcus Sr. Five grandchildren: Alise, Diontae, Keyawn, Marcus Jr, and Ke'Mar. One sister Gwendolyn, one father-in-law James Sr., four brothers in laws; William (Si), Joseph, James, and Jason. Five nephews; Steven, Melvin, Tyrell, Jason, Isheem. Eight nieces; Tonia, Shawn, Shakita, Shionta, Jamie, Ayanna Crystal, Linda. His cousins; Ann and Carl Beasley (who were more like sister and brother): a special and devoted friend Latreasa Easley and her family. His friends Jerome, Wayne and Glenn, and a host of many other family and friends.
