SUSIE E. VINSON, affectionately known as "Sue", was born on September 15, 1940 in Winnsboro, South Carolina to the late Willie & Carrie Gladney.
She received her education from the South Carolina Public School System and received multiple certificates.
Later, "Sue" (affectionately known as) moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she worked as a private duty Nurse for over twenty plus years.
After making Baltimore City her home, she gave her life to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while attending Christian Baptist Church. After joining Christian Baptist Church, Sue served under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Willie Smith as church secretary.
Later, she joined Greater Saint John's Full Gospel Baptist Church and served under the leadership of Rev. Robert J. McCoy (Pastor Emeritus), Pastor Clinton S. Adams (Sr. Pastor). Sue served as the President of the Missionary Board up until her health started to decline. Even then, "Missionary Sue" continued to serve her church and pastor.
She was also affectionately known as one of the "Cornbread Fletcher's" Sue loved fashion and looking her very best. If you were in her presence, she often spoke her mind. She loved caring for others and there was nothing she wouldn't do for anyone.
She would frequently say "SAY WHAT YOU MEAN, MEAN WHAT YOU SAY, DON'T JUST SAY YOU LOVE ME BUT SHOW ME YOU LOVE ME".
After a lengthy illness, God called her home on May 29th, 2019. "She fought a good fight and she'd finished her course" Gaining her wings, she leaves to cherish: two sons, Rev. Ronald Gladney Sr. and Bennie Vinson, two daughter-in-law's; one brother, Willie Gladney; two sisters, Cora Lee Martin and Hattie Gross; seven grand-children, one special friend, Jadene Stone and a host of great-grands, great-great-grands, church family, relatives and friends.
