Sean Davis Obituary

Sean Edward Davis was born on December 26, 1965 to Anna and the late Edward Davis Sr. in Baltimore, MD. Unexpectedly, on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, God called him home and so Sean entered into his eternal rest.

Sean received his early education through the Catholic Archdiocese schools of Baltimore City, becoming an alter boy and later graduating from Lake Clifton Sr. High School. Immediately following graduation, Sean entered and served in the United States Marine Corp. His time in the military allowed him to travel and meet new friends. Sean was a proud Marine. After leaving The military, he started a career in pest control. Sean could tell you about any kind of insect or rodent. His service always included a history lesson on whatever pest he was exterminating at that particular time.

As a child, Sean accepted Jesus Christ as his Friend and personal Savior. Although he was not a member of a local parish, he stood firm and believed in the word of God. Sean knew and loved the Lord.

Sean loved his family and loved spending time with family. He was a devoted son and primary care giver for his mother Anna, his grandmother Alene, and his father, Edward. His sister Tracey was his rock, confidant, and best friend. His daughter, Shanice and his grandsons, Kemari and Ky’Jay were his entire life. He always looked forward to visiting and spending time with them. Always posting pictures and talking about his boys.

Sean also enjoyed all sorts of outside activities, especially fishing with his brother Wayne, and his nephews Cedric and Ryan. He liked teasing and joking with his sister Ashley and niece, Danielle. Sean had such a beautiful easygoing spirit. He would do anything for anybody, never looking for anything in return, always saying “no problem” when you thanked him. Sean also loved manning the grill at all family get-togethers. Anytime you looked to the grill, you saw Sean and for that he will forever be remembered as the Grill Master and Fish Fry King.

Sean leaves to mourn his loving mother, Anna, his daughter Shanice Davis, grandsons Kemari and Ky’Jay Allen. His siblings , Edward Davis Jr., Lizette Houston, Roman Davis, Tracey Davis- Watson (Wayne Watson), and Ashley Davis (Tiffany Jones). His nieces and nephews, Danielle Rollins, Franteon Davis, Dominique Davis,Cedric Rollins (Tiara Harris), Alexis Houston, and Chase Allen. Also, his life long friend and mother of his only child, Barbara Lawrence.

Sean also had a very special bond with his aunt Dorothy Dickerson and Uncle Turtle. As well as his cousins Mark Dixon, who preceded him to eternity, Kimberly Fletcher White, Valerie Jones, and Leonard Wood.

There are a host of additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss him. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and so we know that to know Sean was to love him.

The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, encouragement, prayers, and support in our time of sorrow and celebration of a beautiful spirit gone on to glory.
