Richard Taylor son of the late alfred and Marie Taylor was born on July 8, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Richard Taylor entered the gates of Heaven on June 4, 2018 at Gilchrist Hospice.
Richard (Ricky), received his education in Baltimore City Public Schools.
While growing up at a young age, Richard (Ricky) watched and loved helping his mother in the kitchen. That is when he found out he had a passion for cooking.
Richard attended Culinary Arts School where he received his degree as a Master Chef. Ricky then became employed at Rosewood State Hospital and Rusty Scuppers. He also had other catering jobs.
Richard (Ricky) met Christ at an early age at Grace Memorial Baptist Church. Later, he joined St. John’s AME Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Peggy Wall. Richard was a faithful member of the Missionary Society, Media Ministry, Let Go Let God Ministry, Culinary Ministry, and the Men’s Ministry. He enjoyed his work for the Lord.
In 1994, Richard Taylor married the late Beverly Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Jermall Taylor; one granddaughter Manami Jayde Taylor; two sisters, Thomasine Harrison and Maria Taylor; two brothers, Robert Taylor and William Cook; three brothers who preceded him in death, Alfred Taylor, Jr., Michael Taylor, and Francell Taylor; one mother gure, constance Crum (Nanny); one sister/friend, Veda Moore; two brothers in-law, Melvin Peace and preceding him in death Clinton Harrison; three sisters in-law, Nancy Taylor-Hayes, Romona Taylor-Freeland, and Nancy Taylor; two aunts, Linda Gilliam from Virginia and preceding him in death Helen Pompey; one uncle, Willie Hatchet; twenty-two nieces and nephews; forty-two great nieces and nephews; two great great nieces; one great great nephew; one favorite great niece Chaklyah (Mun); one goddaughter, Renee Floyd; bestfriend, Rodney Floyd; very good friend and mentor, Rev. Betty; a special lady in his life, Charlotte and he took to her grandson Butterball as if it was his own; and a host of other family, friends and especially his church family.
