I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences.
When we are grieving the loss of a loved one, we can find comfort from the scriptures. I found a couple scriptures at jw.org.
Psalm 55:22 promises that God will sustain us if we just throw our burdens on him. So we need to remember to pray.
I look forward to seeing Melvin in the resurrection when he will again be enjoying friends/family. (John 5:28,29).

Please except my condolences on the passing of your loved one, I hope your family have been able to find comfort in the God of all comfort Jehovah. I too have felt the pain of losing a loved one, and I took that time to draw closer to our heavenly father James 4:8 say's Draw close to God and he will draw close to you. Psalms 34:18 tells us Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit. Jehovah also promises at Isaiah 33:24 And no resident will say:"I am sick" The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error. Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. 1Corinthians 15:26 And the last enemy, death, will is to be brought to nothing... I invite your family to please go to JW.ORG where you can find out more about Gods purpose for mankind and how you can see your loved one again right here on earth in a paradise, just like the one that Adam and Eve lost due to their disobedience.
