Louis Clayto Brandon , the last of two children was born into this life on March 4, 1935 in Chase City, Virginia to the late Mabel Williams Brandon and Louis Brandon. Louis (AKA) Clayto attended Woodbourne Public School Person County, North Carolina. He also attended the Baltimore City Public Schools.
Louis accepted Christ at an early age and be - longed to the Providence AME Church in Person County, North Carolina. Louis and his brother lived with their maternal grandparents (James and Elizabeth Williams) for a number of years before moving to Baltimore, Maryland. The two of them enjoyed horseback riding tending the farm and the animals.
Louis met and married Hilda Jordan in 1954. Out of this union one child was born, Marilyn Brandon Epps. He was employed at McMillan Blodell in Baltimore, Maryland from which he retired in 1990 due to illness. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Community Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Andrew Ferges, for a number of years. Louis always talked about how much he enjoyed the service(s). He regularly attended church until the onset of his illness which prevented him from attending. He loved music, dancing and playing cards. He was affectionately known as the dancing man.
Hilda Jordan Brandon, his wife preceded him in death as well as his brother, James Clettis Brandon.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Marilyn Epps; one uncle, Clem Herman Williams; two nephews, James Brandon and Derek Jordan; two sisters in-law, Teresa Waddell and Constance Jordan in addition to many relatives and friends.
