LORRAINE E. BOOKER daughter of the late Nathaniel Moore and Ethel Elam was born on July 16, 1932 in Roanoke Virginia. She departed this life on November 28, 2019 after a lengthy struggle with her illness.
She received her education and Diploma at Lucy Addison High School in Roanoke, Virginia. She was the youngest of seven children. As a child, she was a servant of God, she worked diligently in the church; as she became an adult she continually worked even during her illness, she found strength in God for God.
Lorraine married Quenton Booker, from this union three kids were born, Kenneth, Bernard and Maurice.
Lorraine moved to Baltimore Maryland where she found employment at the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn from 1970 to 1995. She retired after 25 years, she receive several awards as well as promotions. She returned to the workforce again from 1998 to 2001 at Open Doors Inc. as the Director of a Daycare, educating kids.
Lorraine (Momma) made numerous friends wherever she went and will sincerely be missed by her family and everyone who knew her. Preceeding her in death were her six siblings, Eunice, Lena, Eve, Jeroline, Sam and Lylburn.
Lorraine's life will forever be cherished and celebrated by her children, Kenneth (Angela), Bernard (Linda) and Maurice; five grandkids, Donnell, Shalonda, Jamal. Mona, Mark; nine great-grandkids, Shatyia, Shawnell, Quantia, Jaylin, Zynae, Damien, Myriah, Drakhan and Mason.
