On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, God called our beloved mother and grandmother home. She was born April 15, 1938 to the late Frances and Jack Williams. She was an only child.
She went to school in New York City. She graduated from Central Commercial High School, in New York, New York, in 1956. She received degrees in Nursing Technician from The John Hopkins Hospital in 1971.
She sang in a group called The Hearts. They were known for the song “Lonely Nights”. She loved her church and was a deaconess at Old Landmark Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. George Cockrell.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Donald West and Lamont Watson; (two sons, Errol and Mckinley, preceded her in death); six grandchildren, Jermaine, Errol, Tamika. Tashonda, Kayla and Amanda; six great grandchildren, who was the love of her life; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
