John Henry DeLilly, affectionately known as, “White Baby” was born on December 11, 1958 in Washington, D.C. to the late Frances &Emaline DeLilly. He received his early education in the Prince George’s County Public School System. John loved the Lord and at an early age, he accepted Christ into his life.
In the late 1970’s John moved to Baltimore City, where he met Donna Clark and from that union they had a son, Maurice (deceased). It was here that John laid his roots and began his many years of service to the city of Baltimore.
After the dissolution of that relationship, John met Harriet Mobley. From that union they had a son, John Bryant. Harriet and John Henry remained devoted friends until his passing.
John was no stranger to hard work and worked hard to provide for his family. He served the city of Baltimore proudly for over 30 years.
In his spare time, you could always find John playing Connect Four, Spades or preparing to visit one of the local casinos to try his luck. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to see people laugh. He had a heart as big as his smile. John was famous for taking in others and has served as an honorary father to countless children.
On Thursday, October 4, 2018 after a short illness, John was called home to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his son Maurice and grandson Tyler.
John leaves to cherish his memory his: son, John (Chenell); 2 grand-children, Peyton, & Paige. Devoted sisters and brothers: Frances, Audrey, Louise, Lillian (William), Frances Jr. (Delores), Paul, Mary, Thomas, and Delores; 1 uncle, Vincent Chew (Pauline); Devoted friend, Harriet Mobley; And a host of relatives and friends.
