JAMES EARL MCCOY, son of the late John and Clara Mae McCoy, was born on September 18, 1950 in Wayne County, North Carolina. He departed this life on January 22, 2020 at home. He was preceded in death by one sister, Nylene McCoy, two brothers Valenzo McCoy and Johnny McCoy.
James, called on the Lord and gave his life to Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.
He attended Baltimore City Public Schools where he later received his GED. James enrolled in Montgomery Community College where he completed his studies in Electrician and Elevator Mechanic. James worked for the National Security Agency (NSA) Headquarters, Fort Meade Maryland, for twenty two years. He was an Elevator Mechanic Supervisor for the state of Maryland for 10 years.
James who was known as "Bee" was a loving caring man. He was known for working on cars. He was infatuated with fast cars and motorcycles. Bee never was scared to jump out there to start a business in which he had a trash removal service and transportation business.
Bee met the love of his life who preceded him in death Linda "Gail" Williams. Through this union they were blessed with three handsome boys; Earl, Travon and Donta; he was a dedicated father to his children and grandchildren. On October 28, 2019 he married Thresa Ann Mitchell, where he spent the rest of his life.
James McCoy leaves to cherish his memory his three sons, John (Kimberly) McCoy, Travon McCoy and Antonio McCoy. His wife Thresa Ann McCoy; three sisters, Aletha Carter (Willie), Melissa McCoy and Alice James; two brothers, William and Walter McCoy; six grandchildren, Danielle, Ta'Niya, Chance, Dierra, Antonio Jr. and Keon; three great grandchildren, Da'Vontae, Jayden and Donielle Jr.; one aunt Jesse Mae Sutton in Kingston, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
