“A Time to Be Born’’ Frederick Douglas Bland son of Evelyn and the late Napoleon Bland, was born on May 30, 1951 in Baltimore Maryland.
“A Time to Die’’ He was called home on Friday, February 8, 2019, at the VA Medical Center.
“A Time to Learn’’ Freddie received his formal education in the Baltimore City Public School System and was a graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar Senior High School then enlisted in the United States Army where he served an Honorable Discharge.
“A Time to Work’’ Freddie had numerous jobs and his last employment was with the VA Medical Center.
“A Time to Plant’’ Freddie has two daughters Stacey and Andrea; One stepdaughter, Ashley and six grandchildren.
“A Time to Embrace’’ Frederick was baptized at a young age at the Memorial Baptist Church.
“A Time to Laugh and A Time to Dance’’ Freddie was a fun and loving person who had an affectionate smile.
“A Time to Love’’ He was a Loving and Caring person who enjoyed Basketball, Music, and Spending time with family and friends.
“A Time to Mourn’’ Frederick is preceding in death by his brother Bruce Bland, Sisters, Deborah and Patricia Bland, Wife Otelia Ella Johnson.
“A Time to Cherish’’ He leaves to cherish his mother, Evelyn Bland; a very special devoted friend, Vonsello Jones (Cookie); Two Daughters, Stacey and Andrea; one step daughter, Ashley; eight grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
