Elmo Lawrence, Jr. was known by many as Moose, but his grandchildren called him "Pop". Elmo was born in on July 31,1937 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Elmo Lawrence Sr. and Elizabeth Lawrence. He departed this life on March 14, 2019 at Franklin Square Hospital after complications with a surgery. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School He system. He joined the workforce through the carpenters laborer union over 50 years ago were he worked until retirement as a laborer. Elmo joined the Elks social club where he enjoyed life to the fullest with his good friend George. He also loved hunting in Virginia with his closest friend Dwight and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time and laughing with his great grandchildren. grandchild.
Elmo leaves to cherish in his memory his parents Elmo and Elizabeth Lawrence (who preceded him in death), Stepmother Louise Lawrence, his wife Mary Elizabeth Lawrence (who preceded him in death). there were no children from this union, his ex-wife Elaine Dunstun there were four children from this union Antoinetta, Tracy, Nicole, (Reginald) & Dwayne (who preceded him in death). there two other children Robert (who p proceeded him in death) and Teresa. three sisters Mable (Clyde), Gloria, Annette and one brother Mayso (Bernice) who all proceeded him in death, best friend Bernard (who preceded him in death). sisters Ruth (John), Louise (Clarence) Stacy, Tracy (Emmett) and brother Jerome (Julia). Grandchildren Tonya, (Emmett) Avonda, Joey, Anntoinetta, Keyona, Shaheed, Dominique, Iysha, Alton, Rasheedah, Candace, Rashad, Hanan and Alexis thirty-four great grand children, friend & caregiver Leslie, his best friends Dwight, George and Bernard, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
