DEMOND SCROGGINS, the son of Charles and Tangie Goods was born in Baltimore, Md. July 26, 1975. On Monday, September 9, 2019, he transitioned from his physical life to begin anew.
Demond grew up in East Baltimore City and attended Baltimore City Public Schools. He later received his GED in 2001.
In 1994, Demond had his first child and shortly thereafter was blessed with 3 more. He was employed at 84 Lumber for some time, however, he was best known as a family man, that would go to the world's end for the ones he loved.
Demond, also known as Dee to family and friends, was a very funny and loving spirit. He was always guaranteed to make you smile or crack up laughing, and any time he left a space, he would leave a bit of his wisdom with all who he was leaving. His bond with his cousins was more like the bond between siblings. He loved them dearly and plucked their nerves all at the same time, but they always remained close.
Demond was an exciting, supportive and understanding father, brother and son. He kept his family on their toes, but he did his best. His children remember him best as playful and understanding, easy to talk to and fun to be around. He connected deeply with his children's friends and they often looked up to him as a parental figure.
Dee was loved and respected by all who were able to experience his presence and his spirit will forever live in our hearts. Though this is a difficult time for all who loved him, please find peace in this transition, for he can rest in his mother's arms and watch over us peacefully.
Demond was preceded in death by his mother, Tangie Goods; grandmothers Sarah Reed and Louann Goods; and grandfather John T. Goods.
His beloved life will be revered forever by his father; Pastor Charles Goods; four children; Paige Scroggins, Morgan Scroggins, Amarri Quintyne and Hayley Warren; sisters, Devon Goods and Lesha Goods; nieces and nephews; Korrohn, Khoren, Kameren, Cu'Niya, Cadence, Connor, Ayden, Nigel, Montre, Samia and Sania and a host of close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
