On December 13, 2018, DELORES KEARSON, affectionately known to family and friends as "Cubby", gained her wings from God and was peacefully called to her heavenly home after suffering from a brief illness.
Cubby was the daughter of the late Judge and Viola Kearson, born on November 23, 1943 in Baltimore, Md. she was the fourth born out of nine siblings.
Cubby attended the Baltimore City Public School and The League for the Handicap of Baltimore. Cubby always kept a joyous smile, especially in the company of family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, watching her daytime soaps, music (her favorite Purple Rain) and being in the company of family. She also enjoyed prayer and communion that she received from Waters A.M.E. church.
Cubby's smile was so bright that if you weren't in the best of mood, your day would become much better and it was her signature to let you know that she was greeting you with a hello.
Cubby was preceded in death by two brothers, George Edward and Robert Lee Kearson.
Cubby leaves to mourn four sisters, Catherine Brooks, Geraldine Barham, Viola (Susie) Arnold and Barbara Brooks; two brothers, Julius (Raymond) and Leon Kearson; one brother-in-law, Theodore Barham; one sister-in-law, Sharon Kearson; two aunts, Eleretha and Alberta; one uncle, Rufus and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. A close and dear cousin Matt Jr., her caretakers Sherrell (Nanny) Spence and Grace Vincent.
Cubby will surely be missed.
