Cedric Cunningham Obituary

CEDRIC LAMONT CUNNINGHAM, was born on January 19, 1974, to the proud parents of the late George Cunningham and Gwendolyn Cunningham, at Baltimore City Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on his Birthday January 19, 2019 in Baltimore County, Maryland.

Cedric or “Ced” as he was affectionately called was the youngest of George and Gwendolyn’s three children. Cedric began his education in the Baltimore City Public School System before transferring to the Anne Arundel County School system after the family moved to Odenton in 1987.

Cedric was a very bright and intelligent young man. Cedric was his Mom’s “Baby Boy”, and often got whatever he wanted. As a child he enjoyed playing with his many toys during Christmas time and following around his older Brother George. Cedric was always around his older Brother George and Sister Alicia who often walked to school together. During his younger years he expressed an interest in Science and often said he wanted to be a Scientist. As he grew older, he expressed an interest in Home Improvement and often worked alongside his Father George Sr. who was a licensed Home Improvement Specialist. Cedric in his later years became a licensed Barber and practiced his profession until his passing.

Cedric had one daughter the love of his life Alliya Cunningham who was born to him and his sweetheart Tyann Segero on January 29, 1999. Cedric loved his little girl and spoke of her sparking a desire for a change in his life. He often said that their personalities were so similar. Cedric professed his devotion to Islam. Cedric always had a big loving heart and always kept his signature smile. He visited big sister Alicia’s house often to check on her and his little niece’s and nephew.

Cedric leaves to mourn: his daughter, Alliya; mother, Gwendolyn; sisters, Alicia and Michelle; brother, George Jr.; sister in-law, Michelle; nieces, Donielle, Markia, Mykira, Morgan, Ariayana; nephews, George III and Jermiah; aunt’s, Doris and Rachel; cousins, Rochelle, Roger, Sarah, Nita, Cheryl, Perry, June and Brenda; great nieces, Honesty, Colture and a host of other family and close friends.
