Catherine D. Wheele

CATHERINE DANTZLER-WHEELE originally from Sumpter South Carolina, was born October 4, 1941 to the late Henry Britton and Bula Brunson. She transitioned peacefully surrounded by Loving Family on February 15, 2019. Ma, Momma, Cat or Mrs. Cat, as she was affectionately called, received her education in South Carolina where she graduated from Eastern High School in 1958.

In 1963 she shared a Union with Charles Dantzler Sr. in holy matrimony. From this union, 7 beautiful children were born. She re-married in 1999 to George Wheele Jr. whom love her immensely and never left her side.

"Momma" instilled Values, Respect, Morals, Hard Work and the Importance of Family. She loved her children and would do Absolutely anything for them. Momma was ALWAYS there when we needed her. Her unselfish ways of kindness are why she'll always be "Our Superwoman."

"Ma"/"Nana" had both her hands in raising ALL of us. There was NO limit on the lengths she would do.

"Cat" was very outgoing. She especially loved spending time with her family, playing a good game of spades and watching The Young and the Restless. She would yell at the T.V.' OOOHHH my Goodness" every time Victor did something malicious. Cat will truly be missed.

"Sister Wheele" was a dedicated member of Hallelujah Baptist Church. While at Hallelujah, she was a member of the ministry board, choir and church usher. She especially loved greeting family, friends and visitors with a beautiful smile as they walked through those doors. Sis Wheele will truly be missed.

Catherine Wheele leaves to mourn her death and rejoice in her life; a devoted husband, George Wheele; mother-in-law, Mable Wheele; children, Charles Jr., Lorraine, Charlene (Rob), Anthony, Darnell (Josie), Darryl and Terrell (Denika); step children, George Wheele III, Pam Foster, Raynard, Lisa Wheele, William Bunch; three sisters, Louise James, Patricia Wilson, Victoria Prioleau; two brothers, Roy Ray, Harold Britton; 23 grandchilden; 19 great grand-children; a special and devoted aunt Doll; a special and devoted daughter-in-law; Denika :Nika" Dantzler; a special and devoted friend, Lucy Blow; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
