Brenda A. Polk

BRENDA A. POLK was born on January 27, 1967 to David and Patricia Polk. She transitioned on Friday, September 20, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Brenda is preceded by her parents, David and Patricia Polk; her grandparents Jasper and Ruth Cook and Mamie Scruggs; her uncle Dwayne Cook.

Cherishing her memory are her five siblings, Dana Brown, David Polk Jr., Tarnya Polk, Yolanda Scovens and Shawn Polk; also cherishing her memory, four aunts, Jacqueline James, Janice Cook, Nadine Cook and Eloise Scruggs; two uncles, Anthony Cook and Bryant Jones; seventeen nieces and nephews, Cynthia Davis, Quintin Harris Jr., Kenya Harris, D'Won Harris, Patricia Harris, Janae Harris-James, Dorell Harris, Demetrius Carter, Dieon Carter, Destiny Carter, Donshae Carter, Shawnquita Polk, Chiquita Polk, David Polk III and Denver Polk; also sixteen great nieces and nephews, a devoted companion, Desmond Carter and a host of cousins and friends.

Brenda embodied family as she spent countless hours with her nieces and nephews, she will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her lone  of valling everyone for their birthday (no matter the hour), providing refuge for her family, her love of cats, her act of always professing to be "the oldest Polk sibling", the special relationship she shared with her aunt Teeny and most especially the enthusiasm she showed when she saw her loved ones. No matter where you were, if she saw you-you heard her. She is truly missed.
