ARNETT BERNARD BAILEY was born to the late Ralph Bailey and Beulah Bailey-Francis on January 17, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. He entered eternal rest on August 24, 2019.
Bernard was baptized at Mount Nebo Baptist Church and Ministries, Inc. He received his educated at Baltimore City public Schools. Bernard worked at The Cristal Inc. for several years, later retiring from the Eastside Courthouse.
Bernard had a passion for jazz, he loved to cook, dance, watch westerns, football, write and draw. He also liked to play pinochle. He lived, enjoyed and loved life. He loved his children and would give them what he had. He was very proud of his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He saved everything his children gave him. Bernard would walk just about everywhere he went. He was a jokester and forever calling someone a trip. He made many life-long friends.
He was a member of the Eastside Social Club, The Arch Social Club and Elks Lodge.
He leaves to cherish his memory children Pat (Zack), Patricia, Terry, Kim, Gwen (James), Bernard (Fatima), and Adrienne, 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; his siblings Phyllis, Arnold, Leon, Carmen and Jackie and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his children, Robin and Darryl; his siblings Ellner, Leonard, Ralph, Rodell, Leroy, Carl and George.
