We are now offering a new chapel that seats up to 200 people in capacity. We also have a casket selection room that our families can take full advantage of in making the right selection for their love ones.

Response to the Coronavirus

(COVID-19)

To all the families and communities, we serve, 

The Calvin B. Scruggs Funeral Home has been tracking the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) very closely. To prevent further spread of the virus and ease the minds of our staff, families, and communities, we want to provide our company’s approach. As always, our priority is to be available to service our families and communities in the time of need.  

Effective immediately, we have enhanced our Sanitization and practice of Social Distancing  as described below. We will also continue to provide updates regarding any operational changes that will take place on further guidance from the National Funeral Directors Association for Disease Control and Federal and Local Government Offices. This is an evolving situation, as additional information about (COVID-19) becomes available we will adjust as required.

Sanitization – Calvin B. Scruggs Funeral Home have enhanced cleaning protocols and disinfects all surfaces at least once every hour during hours of operations.   

In an effort to protect you and our staff from unnecessary exposure, we respectfully request:  

•If you have a cold or have been around someone with a cold stay home 

•Please observe the social distance requirement by staying 6 feet away from others

•Please cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue

•Please wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds

•We are open at full capacity, seating only no standing along the walls or in the lobby.

•Also, you must wear a mask before entering the building and the mask has to be worn the entire time once inside the building.
