SAMUEL BEVERLY SR., son of the late Eugene and Mary Ann Beverly, was born on February 16, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on June 25, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Samuel received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School as a star football player in 1957. Immediately after he enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years, he received an honorable discharge. In 1961, he met Delores Brister whom became his devoted wife. From this marriage Samuel Beverly, Jr. and Deborah Scott was born. Samuel was a very hard working man, some of his professions included Patuxent Institution, Baltimore City Jail and he retired from Bethlehem Steel after thirty-five years. Samuel enjoyed his retirement by living his life to the fullest. He enjoyed quality time with his family and friends. He also loved to tell jokes and watch sports. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Delores Beverly; son, Samuel Beverly Jr.; and daughters, Sonia Beverly and Deborah Scott; daughter-in-law, LaKeesa Beverly; four grandchildren, Jessica Beverly, Alfred Carrington IV, Samuel Beverly III and Robert Scott, Jr.; brother, Eugene Beverly; and sister, Kathleen Dennis; and a host of neices, nephews, other family and friends.
