MARY ''BOO-BOO'' HENDERSON, Mary departed peacefully from this life the evening of June 12th after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family, friends, and caregivers during the last days of her life. Mary was born in Semora, North Carolina on August 10th 1929. Mary was one of twenty-one children born to the late Bertha and Dewitt Henderson. She received her education in Caswell County of Semora, NC. In 1950, after giving birth to her only daughter, Clarissa, she decided that they would move to Baltimore, Maryland. After moving to Baltimore, where mary lived the reminder of her life, she became a member of New LeBanon Calvary Baptist Church. As a single parent, she held various jobs throughout her lifetime. Mary was an employee of the original Sinai Hospital, and Towson State University. She was also a daycare provider, which she enjoyed doing the last twenty-five years of her life. Mary also enjoyed watching wrestling, talking on the phone, and helping others. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for anyone.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory one daughter: Clarissa (James); three granddaughters: Melinda, Nakia (kelly) and Alocka; six great grandchildren: David, Travona, Sade, Juwan, Ayleke, and Andreana; four sisters; Elsie, Pansy, Norma, and Martha; one brother: Floydd; one sister-in-law: Katie Mae; four special nieces: Blondie, Denise, Patrice, and Virginia; four special nephews: Al Jr., Michael, Shawn, and Alvin; her extended family: Martha and Timmy; devoted friend: Ms. Norma; The Sunshine Daycare; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
