CARROLL SKIPWITH, SR., son of the late Clayton Cannon and Laura Skipwith, was born on October 8, 1947 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on June 8, 2010.
Carroll received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. ''Skip,'' as he was affectionately known to others, loved working in his community and was a retired truck driver and worked part-time at the Oliver Community Center doing various jobs. He was also a member of Zion Baptist Church.
Carroll made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed.
Carroll had a very special bond with his granddaughter O'Marhnie.
He was always a true friend and a devoted grandfather.
He leaves to cherish his memory: brother, William Skipwith Sr.; sister June Skipwith-Logan; four children, Stepfanie T. Skipwith-Malone, Carroll Skipwith, Jr., Carroll Michael Skipwith, III and Dwight D. Skipwith; daughter-in-law, Dalila Skipwith; eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and family.
