MARY LEE BALLARD, was born on October 1, 1944 in Baltimore City. She was born to the late Harriet Ellen Morris and Frank Johnson. She departed this life on June 1, 2010 after a lengthy illness to be with the Lord. Two sons preceded her in death, Charles and Iszard Jr.
Mary received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Carver Vocational High School where she received her diploma in Business Education. She also attended Essex Community College and completed a course in D Base IV. Upon completion of her education, she began working exclusively for the Baltimore County Government. Initially, at Logan Elementary School followed by an extensive stay at the Office of Finance in Towson, Maryland where she retired in 2004. Mary concluded her career at the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program at Union Memorial Hospital.
Her hobbies included Archery, Softball and the Choir. She was an avid computer expert and excelled in that arena. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Canada, Mexico, North Carolina and Florida. Mary had a warm, caring heart and a beautiful smile that was always readily available.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved and devoted husband, Iszard Ballard Sr.; two sons, Steven (Daphne)and Donte; two daughters, Delphina (Juan) and Tammy; six grandchildren, Kharisma, Kirsten, Alicia, Darrah, Anthony and Santino; five brothers, Arthur, Harry, Robert, George and Randolph; two sisters, Marlyn and Audrey; father-in-law, John R. Karim; seven sisters-in-law, Joyce, Cheryl, Ann, Charlestau, Deborah, Fernetta and Roberta; three brothers-in-law, Ronald, Clinton and Eugene; six aunts, Sylvia, Ethel, Hazel, Margaret, Catherine and her beloved Aunt Esther; three uncles, Floyd, James and Eugene; a host of nephews , nieces, cousins extended relatives and friends.
