ALEXANDER BOSTICK, was born on August 6, 1905, to the late James and Tommie Jane Bostick, in Dillion, South Carolina. His only sibling, Ellen, which was also his twin, passed away shortly after birth.

Alex, affectionately known as ''Buddy'', grew up in Dillion, and was a very devoted son to his parents. His formal education was limited. However, his early experience as a farmer, sharecropper and meat cutter served him well. In 1939 Buddy decided to relocate to Baltimore, Maryland, where he remained and became a lifelong Baltimorean. He gained employment at the Geotze's Meats Company as an AFL-CIO master meat cutter and remained a faithful employee until his retirement.

Before leaving South Carolina, Buddy met Cora Lee McNeill. They were united in Holy Matrimony and from this union they were blessed with two sons, Alexander T. and Hilton O. They raised their sons to be respectful to themselves, to others and to know God. His wife, Cora, and his son, Alexander, both preceded him in death.

Buddy was a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of the Southern Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for more than 50 years. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends. Buddy was a traditional man in a modern world. A great one-one who used all of his God given talent, time and treasure to become a complete man.

On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, after a lengthy illness, God, in His infinite wisdom, gently took Alexander Bostick, into His loving arms, where he is now making heaven his eternal home, and joining his loved ones who have gone on before. He will be greatly missed by a wealth of close family and friends.

Alex leaves to cherish fond memories: his son, Hilton O. Bostick of Des Moines, Iowa; his grandchildren, Alexander III and Amira, and his devoted and endearing cousin, Audrey Ford; and other relatives and friends.
