WILLIAM PURNELL FAIR, was born to the late Pauline and Purnell Fair on April 9, 1958, in Baltimore, Md. and he departed his life on June 28, 2017.

William received his high school diploma from Dunbar Senior High School. He joined the Naval Reserve in 1977 as a Aviator Jet Mechanic. William later worked for IBM as a computer technician. In 1993, William joined the City of Baltimore as a laborer. He went on to hold the positions of crew leader, Supervisor and Superintendent of which he retired in December 2016.

William loved fishing. Every chance he got, he met up with the "Fishing Committee. The Committee is a brotherhood that consist of Twink, Tyrone, Craig, William and The Will. This group of men shared an undying love for one another.

In 1998, he met Angela and they married in 2004. William loved his An-ch-la (as he would call her). Their love was undeniable and their bond was unbreakable. When you see one, you would definitely see the other. Not only did he enjoy spending time with his wife, he also enjoyed his time with his children and grandchildren. William loved and looked forward to his vacations with the love of his life. 

William was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Pauline and Purnell, his two sisters, Renita and Carol, three brothers, Dennis, Gregory and Edwin and his grandson Lamont.

William lovingly leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Angela, his princess Anissa, two sons, Vincent and Purnell,  son-in-law Ronnie, adoring grandchildren, Vincent, Chaniya, Arjaai, Micah, Gregory, Elijah, Darius, Ethan, Ezariah and Amiyr, brothers Rubin (Val), Joe (Porsha), Mike  (Adrienne), Alfred (Doretha), sisters Carrie, Amelia (Thomas), Michonne (George) and Rochonne, one aunt Shirley Fields and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He also leaves to mourn, his very special cousin and friend Roderick Fields. Special Friends Earl Towns, Jesse Whitehead, Robert Foster, Bruce Wise, Bryan (Highway Maintenance), Lamont White, Vincent Neale and "The Committee"
