Vernon L. Stinnett Sr.April 2, 1935 ~ August 31, 2017 (age 82)
Vernon Lester (Reds) Stinnett Sr., 82, one of fourteen children born to Joseph C. and Martha A. Brown Stinnett, born in Baltimore MD. He received his formal education in Baltimore City Public Schools System. Reds served in the United States Navy. Reds was employed for many years at H&S Bakery, Baltimore City Public Schools and Chambers Furniture Company until he retired. Reds drifted off to be with the Lord on August 31, 2017 at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, Baltimore, MD with family by his side. Reds was united in holy matrimony to Lillian Overa Kelliam, and they were blessed with nine children. Reds was a jack of all trades he could fix anything, Reds loved watching westerns, horror movies, singing and dancing, music, gardening and cooking, Reds fried the best fried chicken ever. As we aged we could spend hours discussing current events. He was preceded in death by wife of 25 years Lillian O. Kellam his six sisters Janice, Muriel, Clifforde, Hazel, Betty and Inez and five brothers Winston, Warren, Alvin (Tinkie), Vincent (Neal) and Joseph. Reds leaves to cherish his memory: Sister Marva Branche and Brother Burton Stinnett. Children Deborah Stinnett, Baltimore, Vernon L Stinnett, Jr., (Bonnie) Upper Marlboro, MD, Diona Moore (Jamie), Wanda Wiley, Michael (Cintia) all of Baltimore MD, Sheila (John) Gange, Hartford County, Shoshana Johnson ( Jeff), Kentucky, Todd Stinnett and Melody Stinnett of Philadelphia, PA, 20 grandchildren, April, Amber, Shanita , Vernon 3rd, Michael, Latasha, Devin, Jared, Shawn, Jamie, Arie, Tiosha, Calvin,, Monai, Raven, Jillian, Lamar , Isaac, Steven, and Stephon, 18 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
