RITA STANFIELD, DAUGHTER, of the late James A. Stedman and Shirley Jones was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on March 18, 2017 after a brief illness.

She received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools. Rita loved traveling up and down the highways, she met numerous friends along the way. She enjoyed being around her grandkids. In fact, most Grand moms are called grandma but her Great-granddaughter called her "Girlfriend" that's the relationship she had with her grandbabies. She loved each and every one of her grandkids. She always loved bartending and family functions. She love taking care of her mother Shirley and her very good friend Mary. If you knew Rita then you knew she would go above and beyond. She was always the life of the party. She truly loved her family and always had a giving heart with a free spirit. Rita loved camping, partying, fishing and anything where she could take her children out. She was very adventurous.

She leaves to mourn her mother Shirley Jones: children, Yvette Beadles, Carolyn Haskins, Antonio Stanfield, Nikia Ray and Jasmin Ray; her grandchildren, Shawn Holmes, Antonia Beadles, Tyrell Braxton, Tyreze Braxton, Deairra Haskins, Regina Hudson, Chardonnay Stanfield, Antonio Stanfield (T.J.), Aaron Stanfield, Anthony Stanfield, Alex Stanfield, Isiah Stanfield, Gabrielle Peters, Gabriel Peters, Khalia Wach, Addison Lacks, Leroy Gwaltney, Tavon Howard; great-grandchildren, Keonia Beadles, Deaijah Simmons, Tynaej'a Braxton, Taniya Braxton, Tyrell Braxton Jr., Shawn Holmes Jr.(D.J.), Zamir Holmes, Eyain Alford and Baby Jakari; two sisters, Cordelia Jones and Lisa Edmond; two sister-in-laws; Cassandra Jones and Joyce Steadman; four brothers, James Steadman (Jimmy), William Jones (Bill), Michael Jones (Mike), Jonathan Jones (Johnny) and Alan Jones who preceded her in death; one son-in-law, Nathan Haskins; four aunts, Henrietta McCants, whom she had a very special relationship with, Hattie Butler, Shelly Jefferson and Denise Wallace; three uncles, Howard, Dennis and Joseph Jefferson. She has one great-aunt Doris Arrington and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many more friends.
