RENE PATRICIA HARRINGTON was born on August 5, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Johnnie and Aretha Harrington. She was the seventh of eight children.

Rene accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Zion by the late Rev. Robert M. Moses. She was later reinstated under Pastor Marshall Prentiss.

Rene, affectionally known as "Baby Sis", Nay, and Patricia was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. She was employed by the Greater Baltimore Medical Center where she worked in environmental services.   

Her best and greatest job was that of being a caregiver for the family. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members were entrusted to her capable and loving care. Some children believed that Rene was their mother and cried on the weekends because they wanted to go HOME to Rene.

Rene was the primary caregiver to her mother for many years. She would often refuse help even though she was staging a valiant battle against stage three lung cancer.

She faithfully and lovingly took care of her mother's needs until she preceded her in death by thirty-one days.

Rene's hobbies were solving word search puzzles, watching reality TV shows, cooking and shopping.

Three brothers, Bruce, Johnnie Jr. and Joseph; two sisters, Mary Linda and Francine; one grandchild, Aubrey Jr. and one brother-in-law, Tyrone preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her; one son, Aubrey (Arby); one daughter, Lyric; one sister,  Rita; one brother, Clyde (Roberta); one aunt, Olivia; one grandson, Demetrius; two granddaughters, Tamia Blake (Alexander) and Brionaa Heckstall, four great grandsons, five great granddaughters, four nieces and nine nephews, three lifelong friends, Bernice Pressbury, Saundra Cloude (Wytusi) and Darlene Meeks and a host of friends and relatives.
