RALPH NORRIS GATHERIGHT,SR. 78 passed away on May 4, 2017 at his home in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born on March 12, 1939 in Commerce Georgia to the late Thomas Lee Gatheright and Chessie Jackson Gatheright.

Ralph grew up in Greensboro North Carolina. He went to Booker T. Washington High School in Reidsville, North Carolina. After High School he, began to work for varies construction companies as a Brick Layer as well as a Labor Forman where he worked over 20 years in the construction field for Knott's, Bretson Brothers, Banner Masonry, Basso, Corettie. He also worked as an Orderly for johns Hopkins Hospital for over 5 years.

Ralph was also an Ordained Minister of GOD for over 50 years.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lee Gatheright; twelve siblings, Assie Lee, Lou Delia, Johnny B., Dorothy, Sonny Boy,  Edison E., Hattie Mae, Geoge Henry, Nancy Re, James Thomas, Chessie Lee, Paul, Kenneth and son Thomas Lee Gatheright.    

Ralph is survived by: his significant other Sheila; daughters and sons, Chessie (Timothy), Ralph, Ladson (Lisa), Norris, Patrick, Author, Andre, Stanley of Baltimore, Maryland; brother and sister, Jessie (Alice) of Baltimore, Maryland and Cordelia Gatheright, Spencer of Decatur, Georgia; his grandchildren, Sandra, Jaqueline, Caralina, Gabriela, Arianna, Nicholas, Zynobia, Exzavier, Patrice, Shamira, Patrick, Shawntia, Brittany and Tytrice; great-grandchildren, Wintermarie, Cameron. Dakari. Devon and Omarie; nieces and nephews, Annette, Leon, Robert, Wilamae, Roosevelt, Regina and Cordelia and a host  of great-grands and great nieces, nephews and cousins of whom it's too many to name.
