Irma Means (fondly known as "Nute") daughter of the late
Jim and Fannie Black was born November 28, 1939 in Blair,
South Carolina. She departed this life October 8, 2017.
Irma attended the Fairfield County Public Schools. She
was a member of Zion Hopewell Baptist Church. She
married the late Henry Means, Jr. and from this union six
children were born.
Irma loved and lived life to the fullest. She loved her
children, grandchildren and family unconditionally. You
would often find her in the kitchen every Sunday and
holidays cooking meals for her family and friends (and
everyone was welcomed) as long as her health allowed.
Irma will be greatly missed by everyone she touched.
One sister and four brothers preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories Carolyn (Jerome)
of Ft. Washington, Maryland, Phyllis (Robert) of Lake City,
Florida, Brenda (Clarence) of the home, Parthenia
(Rick) (d) of Chester, South Carolina, Michael Anthony
(Tony) and Marsha Means preceded her in death; seven
grandchildren, Antonio (Donny) , Keshia, Carmen
(Carmanella), Brian, Michael, Tiffany (TipAToo), Deidre,
nineteen great grandchildren, five sister in-laws, four
brother in-laws a host of nieces nephews cousins and
friends, special nieces, Annie M. Suber and Bonnie Black,
special nephews James E., Eugene (Sonny), and Bobbie
Owens (Danny).
