Harry Lee Kees

HARRY LEE KEES, the second child of Catherine and Fred Kees, Sr. (preceded him in death) was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 4, 1953. Harry departed this life on January 24, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.

Harry attended Baltimore City Public Schools. He was a graduate of Baltimore city College High School. After high school, he met and fell in love with Paulette Pittman. From this union, they had one daughter, Angelia. Shortly after Angelia was born, Harry enlisted in the army. 

Sonny was loved by everyone. Even with his quiet demeanor, he was the life of all the parties. He definitely was the family jokester.

In 1989, he met Stephanie. From that relationship, he gained two children, Cutina and Tirell Bethel. He loved them as though they were his own.

Harry was baptized in Jesus name as a teenager under the leadership of Elder Chandler.

Harry leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Catherine Kees; one daughter, Angelia Gray; one son-in-law, Carlos Gray; two grandsons, Carlos Gray, Jr. and Uriel Gray; one great-granddaughter, Eden Gray; four sisters, Jackie Barnes, Marilyn Kees, Pamela Salmond and Michelle Barnes; two brothers, Fred Kees and Johnny Kees; three aunts, Mary, Katie and Carrie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
